Meditations for Dying Well
I have often heard, “It’s not death I’m afraid of, it’s dying.” Many assume that nothing can be done to encourage the body to let go into the arms of death. I believe they’re wrong: In deep meditation, the sense of self opens to Big Heart/Mind, Everywhere/Nowhere, No Time/Always, where we come from, where we return. And the witness, who guides our meditation, has the ability to release the body from its vows.
In Meditations for Dying we use various techniques to open the doorway to Big Heart/Mind, where we experience deep peace and oneness with all. These meditations integrate mindfulness practices with a loving heart.
Practitioners become skillful in accessing Big Heart/Mind so that when you are ready to die, you may do so with gratitude and grace. Or if you are supporting someone preparing to die, you may help them avoid the hell realms of fear and clinging.
These practices are accessible to everyone, novice and long-term meditator alike.
Would you rather die with peace, grace and dignity?

Learning the Meditations
There are several ways to learn these meditations: one to one, with your family or friends, small classes. I also teach ministers, chaplains, hospice workers to share these techniques.
It is essential to learn the meditations with your family or close friend because when you are ready to die, they must also be prepared to let you go. Meditating with together deepens a relationship and brings blessing and acceptance.
