Reflections on Copyright Law

Artists and musicians make it possible for all of us to see the visions and hear the voices of Life evolving through us. It takes resources to create and share art. I ask you to buy licenses to copy and perform because your financial support makes it possible for me to make my music available.

License to Copy - By purchasing a License to Copy you have permission to make as many copies as you need for use in your congregation, class, workshop, event. You may purchase a one-time license ($25) or a perpetual license ($50). The license excludes events for profit, recording for sale or publication for purposes other than archiving, for which additional permission is required, obtainable from me.

License to Perform - By purchasing a License to Perform you have permission to make copies of a song to be used in performance. A License to Perform costs $50 per song. It is a perpetual license; you may perform the song as many times as you wish. The license excludes recording, for which additional permission is required, obtainable from me.

Permission to Publish - permission for you to include a song (lyrics or music) in a songbook is granted and fees are established on a case by case basis. Please contact me by email or telephone (919-452-4194, 216-539-3784).
