About Mary
After 16 years as a Unitarian Universalist parish minister, I opened my ministry of the heart to a wider circle.
My services include:
*programs in transitions and transformation
*meditation instruction
*one-to-one spiritual discernment
*programs using singing as spiritual practice
*songs of transformation for individuals and congregations
*exploration in integral philosophy
*spiritual preparations for dying, offered privately with individuals, families, and small groups
*congregational training for program development in pastoral care, adult spiritual development and social justice
I am available to work with congregations as a facilitator for spirituality retreats or organizational retreats for Boards and committees.
I am drawn to the spiritual quest in community: Who are we to one another? How can we support one another in developing and sharing our gifts with a world in need? How can the human family use collective power responsibly?
I’ve been a song-writer all my life. I’ve published hundreds of songs, chants and rounds, including eight songbooks and three recordings. I’ve been a yoga teacher, French teacher, university administrator and a social activist. I’m a shameless punster and an amateur linguist. I wonder about the roles of ethnicity and religion in a global society and what my Georgian/Norwegian heritage means. I’m an alto and the mother of two fine young men. My partner and I live in northeast Ohio.
